I wanted something to allow me to drape myself graciously under the cherry tree in my garden, dressed in a wafting gown of daintily-printed silk and lace, slowly sipping champagne from a crystal flute whilst listening to Benny Goodman playing quietly on the gramophone in the background. Realistically, I flung myself into this after pulling out soggy blanket weed from the pond pump, covered in algae, dressed in a slightly damp cotton dress with mud stains, drinking a medicinal cold Leffe, to the background of a neighbour's skip being collected. But we all have our dreams. Firstly, I LOVE the colour. It's a restful, peaceful colour, and doesn't offend the eye parked under the cherry tree (that bit was real. ) It is also roomy, and the addition of a head rest/cushion is a welcome touch. One thing to note; the instructions that came with it bear no resemblance whatsoever to how the chair actually operates; something that initially confused me and had me questioning my own intelligence. The arms DO NOT lift up; instead they are operated by a knob that turns. Sooooo - position yourself in your preferred angle of inclination, then grab those knobs and TWIST THEM HARD! I initially didn't turn them far enough to lock the position, and continuously found myself closing up slowly, just like a soft-close toilet seat. It was, I confess, a disconcerting experience. I soon developed the courage, however, to firmly turn those bad boy knobs until they became rigid, allowing me to stay in my desired position for more than three seconds. It's a skill that will develop and become more pleasurable as time goes on. Promise. So far, the chairs have stayed out through searing heat, torrential rain, lightning and hail (and that was just in one day), and have not faded, shrunk, rusted or been stolen by an opportunist thief sheltering from the aforesaid apocalyptic weather. Unfortunately, one of my cats has developed a love for these chairs akin to my own, but fortunately having two means there is no need to battle it out; although I still won't let him have his own beer. The tray is extremely useful, and holds a myriad of things including my Kindle, happily. In conclusion, I definitely recommend these whether you have a cherry tree or not; and would definitely buy again if my other cats decided they wanted one each, too, and if I loved them enough. (I don't. Sorry, cats.)

Very pleased with these chairs as they are sturdy, well-made and extremely comfortable to lie on. However, I found them extremely heavy and awkward to lift especially when carrying them up several steep sets of steps.

These are really good value for money. Very comfortable especially if you struggle to get up and down. The lock on the tilt prevents unnecessary slips. The little tables enable movement around the garden effortlessly. Have recommended to many friends. Comes ready to unfold with no work involved. Very sturdy, bought the green which blends to our garden.
