I brought this for my visiting grandson who is just over a year, and used it on a dining chair with arms and a cushion to bring him up to the level of the table. Although he did tend to flop to one side the harness meant his mum had both hands free during meal times. Because it was so useful and packed up really small, my daughter took it with her to use on her travels to meet other family members. Would recommend it is used on a chair with arms though.
